Director: Matthew K. Firpo

Matthew K. Firpo is an award-winning New York-based Director and Photographer, and a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is a co-founder of MAGNA CARTA, a creative firm based in SoHo, NYC. He was recently named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30.

Born and raised in San Francisco, he’s been making movies since he was eight years old. He’s won Best Director at the AdWeek Watch Awards, the Time-Warner Young Filmmakers Award, and the Tisch Commendation for Excellence in Directing, and he’s had his short films play at the Cannes, Mill Valley, and Beverly Hills film festivals.

His commercial work has generated tens of millions of views online, and has been featured everywhere from Time.com, to the front page of AdWeek. He believes in telling powerful stories.

With four completed feature screenplays, including a Semi-Finalist in The Academy Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship, he currently has a feature film in development, slated to shoot later this year.
